Responsibilities
- Drive embedded software design for Subsea Electronics Modules across QNX, bare-metal, and Embedded Linux platforms.
- Deliver the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, coding, integration, and verification.
- Develop communication and control stacks using industrial protocols and serial interfaces.
- Create configuration, diagnostic, and testing tools and support applications.
- Optimize real-time and multithreaded systems for deterministic performance and reliability.
- Apply object-oriented design, code reviews, and Git-based version control.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align software with ARM Cortex M and Infineon C167 hardware architectures.
- Support field operations and installed systems through troubleshooting, sustaining engineering, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Relevant technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field.
- Hands-on embedded software experience with C/C++ in low-level, resource-constrained environments.
- Strong C/C++ proficiency at or above C++11 and experience with Embedded Linux and/or QNX.
- Understanding of ARM Cortex M0+/M4 and Infineon C167 microcontroller and processor architectures.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, CANopen, Modbus, Profibus, TC57, RS232, RS485, and RS422.
- Experience with Git and structured, object-oriented software design techniques.
- Complementary C#/VB desktop development and basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, MQTT, or WebSockets experience is beneficial.
- Tasking C++ experience is a plus.
- Effective English communication and confident collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
