Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operationalize, and maintain scalable data systems, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Build and automate large-scale ETL and ELT pipelines and batch and streaming data workflows.
- Parse structured, unstructured, and event-streaming data from disparate sources.
- Assess, design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms for clients.
- Tune data lake architecture to improve cloud storage and pipeline performance.
- Develop data management solutions covering catalogs, usage, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers.
- Create and improve automation across multiple technical stacks and continuous delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing data warehouses or data lakes, RESTful API models, event processing, or business intelligence for software systems.
- 5+ years of experience building scalable ETL or ELT pipelines and automating large-scale batch and streaming workflows.
- 5+ years of experience coding in languages including SQL, Python, Scala, Spark, or Java.
- Experience tuning data lake architecture for cloud storage and pipeline performance.
- Experience with data catalogs, data usage, governance policies, and lifecycle management.
- Top Secret clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining data systems, or 12+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred: 3+ years architecting and designing large-scale enterprise data and analytics systems.
- Preferred: 3+ years using and developing data systems with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud data products.
- Preferred: experience with Apache Spark, Apache NiFi, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Preferred: experience with federal information-system policies, data security, access controls, and data protection techniques.
- Preferred: experience automating continuous delivery pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub.
- Preferred: experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch, Solr, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB.
- Preferred: experience with AI or ML pipelines and processes.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and a master’s degree are preferred.
