Base Salary
$180k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve shared frontend infrastructure, including design systems, UI component libraries, React Query data-fetching layers, and notification systems across web and mobile.
- Contribute to product and design engineering work connected to user-facing experiences.
- Build AI-powered internal tools, CLI tools, changelog builders, cherry-pick automations, and LLM-based development workflows.
- Lead large-scale migrations such as Tamagui to Tailwind and establish tooling direction for other teams.
- Build and improve release automation, CI/CD pipelines, and QA tooling.
- Drive performance improvements across the company’s applications.
- Maintain backend-for-frontend services supporting multiple product teams.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and architecture documentation while setting standards through code reviews.
- Mentor engineers across teams through reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Deep experience with React and React Native across web and mobile from a single codebase.
- Strong experience building developer tooling, design systems, or shared infrastructure with product sensibility.
- Strong opinions and practical experience in frontend architecture, styling systems, data-fetching patterns, and build tooling.
- Experience owning and delivering large, ambiguous projects end-to-end with minimal direction.
- Comfort with CI/CD, release engineering, testing frameworks, and automation.
- Interest in advancing AI-assisted development and exploring new engineering workflows.
- Desire to keep current with modern web and mobile development practices.
- Preferred: active open source contributions, especially to wagmi, viem, Next.js, React Router, TanStack, or similar ecosystems.
- Preferred: experience building AI-powered developer tools, CLI tools, or LLM-based internal automations.
- Preferred: Swift, Kotlin, or native mobile development experience.
- Preferred: familiarity with crypto features and concepts.
- Preferred: a computer science degree.
