Base Salary
$150k - $284k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and develop complex embedded software features for next-generation Ford electric vehicles.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and integration teams to develop requirements, functional test cases, and CI/CD tests where possible.
- Lead diagnosis and improvement of existing vehicle software features.
- Collaborate across software, hardware, integration, and UI/UX teams to resolve product-development issues and drive innovation.
- Develop tooling, diagnostic interfaces, and interfaces between vehicle-access components.
- Integrate software features into the controller codebase.
- Use data-driven analysis tools to verify and diagnose vehicle software in the field.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 10+ years of proven software engineering experience.
- Hands-on embedded systems development and troubleshooting experience.
- Programming experience with C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with Real Time Operating Systems, Linux, and concurrent systems.
- Strong documentation, writing, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, automotive systems experience, CAN/LIN/automotive Ethernet, BLE/UWB/NFC/WiFi, Vector and Intrepid tools, MISRA, AutoSAR, ISO 26262, vendor negotiation, and Yocto Linux experience.
