Responsibilities
- Provide production support, software deployment, configuration management, proactive monitoring, incident recovery, and technical support for proprietary trading systems.
- Develop or use process automation and monitoring tools to anticipate and prevent operational issues.
- Troubleshoot time-critical incidents involving proprietary systems, markets, data feeds, telecommunications lines, and other external factors.
- Support APAC options trading and coordinate with European and US options teams to maintain consistent 24x7 coverage.
- Understand exchange data center layouts and hardware infrastructure to optimize trading system setup and configuration.
- Coordinate with operations, business liaisons, infrastructure teams, exchanges, brokers, traders, researchers, and developers.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, ideally computer engineering-related.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and database usage, including SQL, NoSQL, and Postgres.
- Experience using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with distributed systems, modern DevOps, CI/CD, RESTful web services, and web development technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, Vue, and CSS3.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure with traders and engineering teams.
