Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain firmware and software for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G, and UWB wireless modules.
- Develop drivers and integrate wireless modules into Embedded Linux and Android systems.
- Perform bring-up, functional testing, and debugging of in-house RF hardware modules.
- Maintain and enhance development environments, build systems, and test infrastructure.
- Develop automated R&D and production tests, including RF protocol validation and conformance testing.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, EMC requirements, and regulatory directives such as RED and FCC.
- Contribute to system and software architecture for wireless stacks, communication protocols, and platform integration.
- Communicate technically with customers and independently implement new product features.
- Conduct internal training and knowledge transfer related to wireless technologies and firmware development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 8+ years of work experience in embedded firmware or Embedded Linux development for wireless and communication modules.
- Excellent programming skills in C and C++; Bash and Python are desirable.
- Hands-on experience with driver development, protocol stacks, and low-level software for embedded systems.
- Proficiency with embedded and RF toolchains, debuggers, analyzers, and measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies.
- Computer science fundamentals are required.
- Experience with Heroku, JavaScript, ES6, React, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.
