Responsibilities
- Own the supply chain integration module design, configuration approach, estimates, sequencing, and deliverable approvals.
- Lead fit-to-standard workshops, document gaps, and steer requirements toward upgrade-safe standard functionality.
- Design end-to-end interfaces using released OData and SOAP APIs, communication scenarios, arrangements, users, and systems.
- Build and govern SAP Integration Suite and Cloud Integration flows, including mappings, error handling, retries, monitoring, and Event Mesh where applicable.
- Determine and enforce appropriate use of key-user extensibility, developer extensibility, and side-by-side SAP BTP extensions within clean-core boundaries.
- Coordinate integration and extension dependencies across supply chain modules, ABAP/BTP, and Basis teams.
- Own workstream milestones, quality gates, integration testing, cutover, defect management, and corrective action.
- Create reusable AI prompts and accelerators for interface specifications, mapping validation, error analysis, and test payload generation.
- Use SAP Joule for Consultants, curate grounding content, and specify Joule agent use cases for implementation by the AI and AIDLC tower.
- Lead and mentor a small delivery team and manage business stakeholder workshops, scope discussions, risks, and trade-offs.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience on the primary skill is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Deep hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, scope items, fit-to-standard, and public-cloud constraints.
- Deep expertise in released OData and SOAP APIs, communication scenarios, communication arrangements, users, and systems.
- Deep hands-on expertise with SAP Integration Suite and Cloud Integration, including mapping, error handling, and monitoring.
- Strong expertise in SAP key-user and developer extensibility and side-by-side extension on SAP BTP.
- Strong working knowledge of the supply chain processes being integrated.
- Demonstrated clean-core judgment, including the ability to reject upgrade-risky extensions and propose viable alternatives.
- Current hands-on configuration work on the primary skill with no sustained break from build activity in the last 18 months.
- Demonstrated AI-enabled delivery through reusable prompts, accelerators, automation, or analysis routines adopted by others, with validation of generated output.
- Working use of SAP Joule for Consultants and the ability to identify and specify Joule agent use cases; proficiency is expected within 90 days if prior exposure is absent.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of an SAP module workstream, including estimation, milestones, defect management, integration testing, and cutover.
- Demonstrated leadership of a small delivery team and direct ownership of business stakeholder relationships.
- Workstream ownership across at least two full-lifecycle SAP implementations or large rollouts is required.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, Event Mesh integration patterns, SAP IBP integration, and additional SAP BTP services is preferred.
