Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex customer engagements, influencing platform adoption and revenue growth.
- Own senior-level technical relationships and advise executives on enterprise data and AI strategy.
- Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
- Serve as an expert on the Databricks Platform through a declared technical specialization and provide horizontal impact across the team and region.
- Develop competitive strategies and lead competitive displacements and complex enterprise evaluations.
- Orchestrate DSAs, SSAs, partners, product teams, and other cross-functional groups to deliver enterprise solutions.
- Coach and develop junior Solutions Architects on technical depth, customer engagement, and use-case prioritization.
- Contribute to Field Engineering thought leadership through customer-facing content, workshops, and community engagement.
- Travel to customers 30% of the time.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
- Expert-level coding proficiency in Python and SQL, ideally including Spark/PySpark; candidates complete a live coding assessment and platform build during the interview.
- Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, including distributed systems at scale, streaming and real-time systems, lakehouse design patterns, data governance frameworks, and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge or equivalent depth with competing platforms and demonstrated rapid learning ability.
- Recognized technical specialization in areas such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions.
- Proven ability to drive consumption growth and platform adoption in large accounts.
- Executive presence and ability to influence Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders on long-term data and AI strategy.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Databricks certifications, experience at Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or a top-tier data/AI company, published thought leadership, and telco industry expertise are preferred.
