Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based thermostats and controllers.
- Integrate and update communication technologies, software libraries, and third-party components.
- Review, test, challenge, and validate firmware developed by external partners.
- Investigate and resolve firmware issues across software, electronics, connectivity, production, and field operations.
- Translate product requirements into technical firmware solutions and release-ready implementations.
- Collaborate with product management, electronics, applications, quality, verification, compliance, and external development partners.
Requirements
- Practical experience developing embedded software in C or C++ for microcontroller-based products.
- Hands-on experience with embedded debugging, troubleshooting, source control, software maintenance, and controlled firmware releases.
- Ability to translate requirements into firmware solutions and review, test, and validate software implementations.
- Familiarity with connected-product technologies and protocols such as Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread, Matter, or comparable technologies.
- Clear English communication and effective collaboration with external development partners and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
