Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend microservices, database schemas, and frontend infrastructure.
- Drive system architecture decisions for high-performance, secure, and reliable AWS cloud environments.
- Write maintainable, high-performing code across Python backend and React/TypeScript frontend stacks.
- Use Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools while maintaining strong code quality, testing, and architecture standards.
- Partner with product managers, data analysts, architects, and QA engineers on complex cross-company initiatives.
- Own horizontal group projects and mentor team members on engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building and scaling complex web applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python, web frameworks, ORMs, system design, and relational or non-relational databases.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native application deployment and management.
- Proven experience using Claude Code or similar AI software development tools as a power user.
- Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput data flows.
- Demonstrated ownership, self-direction, and significant technical impact.
