Base Salary

$86k - $155k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Assess institutional needs and implement AI-enabled services on high-performance AI computing platforms.
  • Design, develop, and implement AI solutions and services, including proofs of concept, pilots, and adoption programs.
  • Evaluate, fine-tune, deploy, and benchmark LLMs, agentic AI systems, and multimodal foundation models.
  • Build secure AI architecture, environments, safety guardrails, sandboxing, and data-protection practices.
  • Optimize GPU/HPC resource allocation, distributed training and inference, model serving, cost, latency, and utilization.
  • Develop AI demonstrations, workshop materials, training classes, standards, operating procedures, architecture roadmaps, and reference architectures.
  • Evaluate commercial and open-source AI/ML, data mining, and analytics approaches for business problems.
  • Communicate technical solutions and architecture clearly to customers, teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience designing and developing large-scale AI/ML systems or building products with AI/ML features.
  • Strong experience with deep learning and supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks, time series analysis, anomaly detection, forecasting, predictive modeling, graph-based neural networks, Bayesian statistics, and text analytics.
  • Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, or adapting LLMs or multimodal foundation models is preferred.
  • Experience with distributed or multi-GPU training and inference, HPC workload scheduling, AI inference optimization, and high-throughput serving is preferred.
  • Experience designing agentic-system safety guardrails, sandboxing, tool-access controls, prompt-injection defenses, secrets management, audit logging, and failure containment is preferred.
  • Experience with AI data security and privacy, reproducible benchmarking and evaluation, AI/ML pipelines, observability, versioning, rollback, cost control, and incident response is preferred.
  • Technical leadership, standards-setting, mentoring, cross-team collaboration, and clear written and spoken communication are required.
  • A PhD, biomedical or imaging experience, regulated health-data experience, and contributions to open-source AI/ML infrastructure or public technical work are preferred.
