Base Salary
$226k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own security architecture and reusable reference patterns across AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and Java/Spring platforms.
- Lead security design reviews and threat modeling for new products and services.
- Define standards for encryption, key management, identity, zero trust, network segmentation, and service-to-service authentication and authorization.
- Drive encryption-strengthening programs and cloud guardrails.
- Partner with Engineering, Cloud, and IT to embed security into the SDLC and infrastructure.
- Advise on security architecture for strategic initiatives, integrations, and framework alignment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of security experience, including significant experience in security architecture or senior engineering roles.
- Deep experience securing AWS and Kubernetes at scale.
- Strong application security, secure-design, and threat-modeling experience.
- Working knowledge of cryptography and key management.
- Experience defining zero-trust and identity architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security, or relevant experience.
- Fluency across modern technology stacks including Java, Spring, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Preferred experience in regulated environments such as SEC/FINRA, fintech, or clearing and broker-dealer organizations.
- Preferred experience with cryptographic isolation, envelope encryption, or searchable encryption.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or SABSA are preferred.
