Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain full-stack software applications handling genetic data.
- Ensure applications meet user requirements and performance standards.
- Deploy and manage applications in the cloud for scalability and reliability.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile workflows.
- Collaborate with data science, bioinformatics, and other cross-functional teams.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and conduct peer code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Experience with modern software development practices, testing, and writing automated tests.
- Full-stack development experience across front-end, back-end, and databases.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Preferred: health industry knowledge or an interest in genetics and bioinformatics.
- Preferred: cloud solution implementation experience, AWS experience, and experience designing or using JSON-based RESTful APIs.
