Base Salary
$195k - $315k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade backend services for data collection and customer-facing insights.
- Own the architecture and performance of distributed systems processing large-scale audio data.
- Define and evolve internal APIs and service boundaries for ML and product features.
- Build resilient, observable, performant, and easy-to-debug systems.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and ML teams to iterate on research and product ideas and ship to production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience building scalable APIs and services.
- Proficiency with service interfaces and database design, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code.
- Proficiency in profiling, debugging, and optimizing backend systems.
- Preferred experience launching systems from the ground up in high-growth environments.
- Preferred familiarity with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, large-scale data pipelines, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Preferred experience building large-scale audio or video data pipelines and scaling inference or training compute for production workloads.
