Base Salary
$186k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and execution of critical cryptographic infrastructure.
- Define multi-quarter technical strategies for ambiguous cryptographic requirements.
- Implement secure and resilient cryptographic protocols in a high-stakes zero-trust environment.
- Develop high-availability certificate management services for internal teams and external partners.
- Shape engineering quality practices, conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor senior engineers, and eliminate single points of failure.
- Lead technical strategy, architecture, and deliverables for large-scale projects while navigating regulatory requirements.
- Build alignment with cross-functional partners across Security, Product, and Policy.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building highly available, distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in Public Key Infrastructure and applied cryptography.
- Experience operating certificate authorities and automating X.509 certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and trust-chain distribution.
- Experience protecting private key material with HSMs or cloud KMS.
- Extensive programming experience with Golang, Java, C++, or Rust, including the ability to work in a Golang-heavy environment.
- Experience operating Tier-0 or highly critical infrastructure where resilience, security, and low latency are essential.
- Experience leading technical strategy, architecture, and deliverables for large-scale projects and translating regulatory requirements into engineering solutions.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight.
