Responsibilities
- Identify and address key security gaps in Databricks infrastructure and services.
- Define the vision and strategy for security engineering and privacy within Trust & Safety.
- Represent the security engineering discipline across the organization and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Attract top security engineering talent.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.
- Deliver high-quality security solutions for customer data protection.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of experience in data security or related areas.
- At least 15 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Expertise in at least two areas including cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, governance, privacy, trust, safety, authentication, identity management, access control, key management, inter-service authentication, secure application frameworks, or detection and response.
- Experience leading across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills for explaining and evangelizing data security to senior company leaders.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.
- Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is highly valued.
