Responsibilities
- Develop, design, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate moderately complex applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Write and support code using front-end and back-end programming languages across multiple platforms.
- Design program specifications, analyze application and database interactions, and produce application documentation.
- Perform unit testing, validation, corrective measures, and code deficiency resolution.
- Work with APIs, external services, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Apply PCI security compliance standards, application controls, procedures, and monitoring practices.
- Use AI tools to accelerate analysis and drafting while maintaining accuracy and controls.
- Validate parity with legacy outputs, reconcile discrepancies, and document assumptions.
- Perform feature engineering and model validation, including creating predictors and assessing model robustness and performance.
- Join fragmented data across business domains and reconcile inconsistencies to answer business questions.
- Translate analytical and model outputs into business-readable insights, visualizations, and recommendations.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams.
- Provide production support, estimates, guidance to other software engineers, and on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
- Typically at least four years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and moderate understanding of the corresponding other layer.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred six to eight years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of relational databases, BigQuery SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and Python.
- Ability to perform feature engineering, model validation, cross-domain data analysis, data reconciliation, and data visualization.
- Ability to provide production support and work with limited day-to-day instruction.
