Responsibilities
- Assemble physical, microelectronic, and sensor-based hardware setups and collect data from real-world environments.
- Develop and maintain edge AI applications, demonstrations, and solutions using tiny ML models across consumer, industrial, and automotive hardware.
- Ingest, debug, preprocess, and analyze large high-frequency sensor datasets for model development and validation.
- Optimize and deploy AI/ML models on microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, AI, and embedded engineering teams.
- Lead junior engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
- Apply signal processing and embedded ML expertise to emerging AI and hardware technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field; a master’s degree is also referenced.
- 2–3 years of career experience.
- Hands-on experience fabricating prototype systems with physical, microelectronic, and sensor components, including design tools, 3D printing, and electrical and physical assembly.
- Broad familiarity with sensors, their placement, and embedded-system applications, including audio, electrical, accelerometer, and control-system signals.
- Experience with large high-frequency sensor datasets, including debugging and preprocessing.
- Understanding of AI/ML algorithms and experience deploying models on microcontrollers.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C, with experience in real-time edge computing and embedded systems.
- Background in digital signal processing for audio and time-series data.
- Experience leading engineering teams, managing projects, and collaborating across cross-functional groups.
