Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with customer IT and technical decision makers, understand modernization priorities, remove blockers, and represent customer needs to Microsoft engineering and product teams.
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code, automated pipelines, agents, and AI-enabled solutions for infrastructure discovery, provisioning, migration, governance, observability, security, and operations at scale.
- Lead architecture design sessions for secure, scalable, resilient modernization solutions across applications, databases, and infrastructure using CAF, WAF, landing zones, and resiliency guidance.
- Partner with CSAMs and account teams to ensure consumption plans, customer success plans, and technical milestones align with customer priorities.
- Drive application, database, infrastructure, SAP, hybrid, and agent modernization initiatives through proof-of-concept, pilot, and production milestones.
- Improve workload health, resiliency, sovereignty, security, capacity, and performance for production-scale AI and long-term Azure growth.
- Use and improve agents, repeatable IP, templates, and frameworks to scale modernization outcomes across engagements.
- Identify and resolve technical blockers, oversee delivery, escalate risks, and accelerate go-live across modernization engagements.
- Identify follow-on workload opportunities and partner with account teams to generate aligned pipeline.
- Maintain technical expertise and certifications across Azure workloads, platform engineering, GitOps, and AI-assisted infrastructure automation.
- Share modernization best practices, contribute to technical communities and knowledge reuse, and support reusable intellectual property development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting or support, systems administration, network operations, software development or support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role and at least 2 years working on technical projects are preferred.
- Technical cloud certification, such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, or security certifications, is preferred.
- English proficiency is essential for effective communication and global collaboration.
