Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases for REST and SOAP APIs.
- Validate API payloads, status codes, authentication, error handling, and business rules.
- Use advanced SQL to verify backend data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and source-to-target transformations.
- Test stored procedures, functions, views, database validations, batch processes, ETL workflows, reconciliations, dependencies, exceptions, and downstream results.
- Test chatbot functionality, integrations, conversational workflows, and backend responses.
- Document defects, maintain test evidence, communicate testing outcomes, and collaborate with delivery and development teams on issue resolution.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience testing REST and SOAP APIs with tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or Rest Assured.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with database testing, backend validation, and data integrity verification using SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience with batch testing, ETL testing, source-to-target validation, and data reconciliation.
- Experience testing chatbot functionality, integrations, conversational workflows, and backend responses.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred experience includes Control-M, Airflow, API automation, database test automation, reusable testing frameworks, complex enterprise integrations, log analysis, and root-cause analysis.
