Base Salary

$142k - $208k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support responses to security events and incidents across Twilio’s global infrastructure, services, and applications.
  • Own the security incident lifecycle, including triage, containment, remediation, on-call participation, and root-cause analyses.
  • Create incident documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and shared security best practices.
  • Drive security and reliability improvements identified through security events and incidents.
  • Develop scalable security response processes and automate manual security workflows.
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D Engineering, R&D Business, and internal customers to address security challenges.
  • Provide mentorship and support to help develop the security incident response team and program.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of security incident response experience in a production-cloud environment.
  • Subject-matter expertise in security issues and technologies.
  • Ability to use AI for complex security incident response activities and high-fidelity detections.
  • Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and security tools appropriate for cloud environments.
  • Experience addressing difficult security challenges across a technology stack.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
  • Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or another large cloud platform.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Preferred experience with AI model security and posture management, prompt injection, model evasion, data poisoning, GenAI and LLM-based threat response, forensic evidence collection, malware and trojan analysis, source-code analysis, and threat intelligence integration.
