Base Salary

$127k - $237k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and technical direction of Cloud Audit Suite and drive platform integration strategy across Thomson Reuters audit systems.
  • Define AI engineering patterns for MCP servers, agent frameworks, LLM integration, experimentation, and scalable infrastructure.
  • Architect and build backend services and AI-driven workflows using C#/.NET, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Vercel.
  • Develop AI orchestration capabilities including tool calling, workflow routing, guardrails, reliability, and LLM integrations.
  • Design high-throughput, low-latency systems using caching, queuing, rate limiting, failover, and cost optimization.
  • Build retrieval and search systems over large document collections using vector databases and indexing technologies.
  • Establish observability, SLOs, and incident management practices for auditable and trustworthy AI systems.
  • Lead strategic initiatives across AI, platform, and infrastructure teams and collaborate with engineering, product, UX, AI, research, and design partners.
  • Mentor engineers and improve system design, code quality, AI engineering practices, testing, rollout practices, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership roles and 3+ years building scalable cloud applications, APIs, and AI-enabled products.
  • Proven experience shipping production-grade AI systems to enterprise customers, including deployment, monitoring, evaluation, scaling, and ongoing operational ownership.
  • Full Stack experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Strong distributed systems expertise covering APIs, data modeling, observability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
  • Proven success leading complex projects from architecture through long-term operation.
  • Deep interest in AI-native software, including LLMs, agents, retrieval, and modern AI development patterns.
  • Preferred experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
  • Preferred experience integrating OpenAI and Anthropic LLM platforms into production applications.
  • Preferred experience with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, retrieval systems, C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, AWS, and regulated industries such as tax, audit, legal, fintech, or compliance-focused domains.
