Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement production backend services, APIs, and host-level agents using Java, Rust, C++, and Python.
- Lead end-to-end migrations of highly depended-upon live systems while preserving backward compatibility.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated test coverage, and AI-assisted operational tooling for fleet-wide systems.
- Collaborate with security teams, product managers, and principal engineers through design and code reviews.
- Drive operational excellence through metrics, alarms, incident response, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
- Own a system area as its required reviewer, incident subject-matter expert, and technical direction setter.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
