Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-grade AI products from problem framing and data pipeline design through deployment and live iteration.
- Work with partners in a forward-deployed manner to develop scalable agentic solutions.
- Lead technical scoping workshops with city leaders to address local transportation problems.
- Contribute to tooling for data consolidation, predictive modeling, real-time decision-making, and LLM-powered experiences.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to prioritize high-impact AI opportunities.
- Write scalable backend code, design APIs, manage data flows, and support reliable systems at scale.
- Help establish the technical culture and development practices of the new AI Labs team.
- Evaluate and introduce new AI tools, ideas, and approaches.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered products.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end product features rather than isolated model or research work.
- Deep expertise across LLMs, predictive modeling, and supporting data infrastructure.
- Strong backend engineering skills, including scalable API design and distributed systems.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, early-stage environments and take ownership.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfort working directly with users and customers and traveling on-site when needed.
