Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services that ingest, process, and serve video and sensor data at scale.
- Deliver AI-native features including natural-language video search, real-time detections, and agentic workflows using multimodal LLMs and computer vision.
- Implement user-facing frontends in TypeScript and React.
- Design scalable APIs and systems interfacing with ML pipelines and an edge device fleet.
- Collaborate on infrastructure and architecture decisions.
- Solve distributed systems, real-time processing, and high-availability problems.
- Work with AI, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver platform features.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Golang, Python, or C++.
- Experience with TypeScript and React, including react-query and Tailwind.
- Experience designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Comfort with distributed systems, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Experience with Kubernetes on AWS and Pulumi for infrastructure as code.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development and judgment about where it works well.
- A Computer Science degree or similar from a top university.
- Previous startup experience building systems from scratch or scale-up experience.
- Strong understanding of system performance, reliability, and clean architecture.
