Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies for complex algorithmic trading and analytics platforms.
- Lead, mentor, and support the career development of QA engineers.
- Design test automation frameworks focused on performance, reliability, and accuracy.
- Establish quality metrics, testing standards, and organizational best practices.
- Collaborate with trading desks, quants, and development teams to understand requirements and trading strategies.
- Implement testing processes for market data integration, order management, and execution algorithms.
- Oversee performance testing, latency analysis, and capacity planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and tools.
- Manage UAT processes with trading teams and key stakeholders for front-to-back initiatives.
- Lead incident reviews and implement preventive measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of software QA experience strictly within financial services.
- 7+ years of experience leading QA teams in algorithmic trading or similar high-stakes environments.
- Strong understanding of global financial markets, trading systems, and market data.
- Expert knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
- Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with market data systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters.
- Deep understanding of FIX protocol and other financial messaging standards.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including MiFID II and Reg NMS.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins/GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, strategic-thinking, and risk-awareness skills.
- Good understanding of investment banking, capital markets, equity trading, algorithmic trading, analytics platforms, and electronic trading systems for equities, FX, or similar markets.
