Base Salary

$110k - $151k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack web applications using Python, Django, Flask, Vue.js, and React.
Establish frontend development best practices, including code reviews and testing protocols, while mentoring team members.
Collaborate with scientists, modelers, and cross-functional teams to translate research needs into scalable software solutions.
Support Docker-based containerization for local development and application deployment, along with Kubernetes workflows as needed.
Evaluate emerging technologies to improve team capabilities and system performance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of professional full stack development experience.
Proficiency in Python, preferably Django, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
Strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and experience with Docker.
Experience working successfully in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
Experience designing and implementing scalable microservices platforms.
Experience with Vue.js or React, TypeScript, ES6+, Jest, and Vitest.
Experience with Django ORM, REST APIs, Python testing frameworks such as unittest and pytest.
Experience with Docker, Git, and Linux/Unix systems.
Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, scientific or computational research environments, CI/CD pipeline development, and microservices architecture.
