Responsibilities

  • Apply software development and testing methodologies to validate business, functional, and regulatory requirements across enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and automation-assisted tests.
  • Maintain traceability from requirements and acceptance criteria through test scenarios, automation assets, evidence, and defect tracking using JIRA and ALM/AQM.
  • Partner with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and Scrum teams to clarify requirements, identify ambiguity, and improve testability.
  • Validate UI, API, database, backend, file-ingestion, schema, field-mapping, XML/CSV, reporting, ACK/NACK, simulator, and cross-system integration workflows.
  • Support regulatory and control-focused testing for transaction and reporting accuracy, privacy, data masking, entitlements, auditability, portal access, and downstream impacts.
  • Contribute to automation frameworks and continuous testing by integrating checks with CI/CD pipelines and supporting smoke, sanity, and regression execution.
  • Use enterprise testing and engineering tools including JIRA, ALM, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Splunk, simulator tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate on requirement analysis, issue triage, dependency management, troubleshooting, and solution validation across distributed teams.
  • Create and maintain test plans, scenario coverage, execution evidence, defect summaries, and testing status reports while monitoring delivery risk and controls.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of related experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with functional testing, automation testing, and defect lifecycle management in Agile delivery environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision table testing, pairwise testing, and exploratory testing.
  • Experience using JIRA and ALM for requirements traceability, test management, and issue tracking.
  • Experience with at least one programming or scripting language such as Java or Python.
  • Familiarity with API testing and automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Karate, or Rest Assured.
  • Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins-based CI/CD tooling.
  • Familiarity with AI prompt engineering and AI agents.
  • Preferred experience validating XML, CSV, schema, field-mapping, file-based, and database-driven workflows.
  • Preferred exposure to financial services, regulatory or reporting processes, onboarding flows, portal applications, or data-platform testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, documentation, communication, ownership, and quality-focused skills.
