Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software, firmware, and computing systems software.
- Support requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop software for Linux and VxWorks real-time operating systems using C and C++.
- Apply software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented design, scripting, version control, modeling, and CI/CD tools.
- Integrate and test embedded software on target hardware and support engineering, scientific, manufacturing, customer, and supplier needs.
- Apply development processes, standards, procedures, and tools for defense products in the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting, and Survivability division.
- Travel occasionally to support program and customer needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related STEM discipline with at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 0 years of experience.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in C/C++.
- Experience developing embedded software on Linux or VxWorks real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with Python, Bash, Batch, or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Waterfall or Agile software development methodologies and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, ClearCase, Rally, and Jira or similar tools.
- Familiarity with modeling tools such as CAMEO and Rational.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance and additional customer-specified clearance before starting.
- Preferred qualifications include Java experience, embedded software testing and debugging on target hardware, software integration experience, and an active Secret clearance.
