Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance, highly available Java-based server-side applications.
- Design, develop, and deploy evolving large-scale service architectures.
- Apply object-oriented analysis, design, and proven architectural patterns.
- Develop distributed computing systems using the Hadoop stack and related big data technologies.
- Work with serialization frameworks, REST architectural patterns, relational databases, SQL, unit testing, mocking, and build frameworks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Extensive experience developing Java-based server-side applications.
- Practical experience with distributed computing frameworks and large-scale service architectures.
- Experience with Avro, Protocol Buffers, REST, relational database concepts, and SQL.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Maven, and sbt.
- Practical Scala experience is desirable.
- Practical experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Akka is desirable.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
