Base Salary
$211k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write platform-level Rust code for back pressure, resource limits, and interactions with other services.
- Analyze and address performance and stability issues in high-scale systems.
- Own a large-scale production system with stringent performance and availability requirements.
- Manage technical projects, drive progress, and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Collaborate across technical and product teams and contribute to code reviews and team processes.
- Contribute to open source projects such as Wasmtime.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in high-reliability systems programming, ideally in Rust.
- Experience writing asynchronous and concurrent code.
- Ability and willingness to learn emerging technologies.
- Preferred experience includes multi-tenant security, multiprocess scheduling, memory management, systems-level optimization, technical writing, and open source contribution.
