Base Salary
$235k - $414k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine learning systems across third-party signal acquisition, curation, matching, attribution, and causal measurement.
- Design, implement, and scale machine learning models supporting Snap’s monetization strategies.
- Set machine learning direction for teams producing online ranking and recommendation models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to establish ML strategy, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver product solutions.
- Improve Snap’s ML technology stack, organizational performance, availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship that influences the broader machine learning community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent years of experience.
- 11+ years of industry machine learning experience.
- Experience developing and shipping performant, scalable machine learning models for recommendation or ranking use cases.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or related deep learning frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms and their applications to advertising measurement, recommendation, or search.
- Preferred experience with signals and measurement, identity resolution, anomaly detection, causal measurement, attribution, online advertising, ad targeting, ranking, auction, marketplace optimization, or AI publications.
- Preferred advanced degree in machine learning, computer vision, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience partnering with executives and management across globally distributed organizations and working with diverse engineering teams.

- The role has U.S. base salary ranges by pay zone: $276,000-$414,000 in Zone A, $262,000-$393,000 in Zone B, and $235,000-$352,000 in Zone C.
