AI Engineer
Clarity AIResponsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to improve generative AI capabilities and product impact
- Build robust multidimensional evaluation suites using LLM-as-a-judge, semantic checks, and unit tests
- Implement and tune advanced retrieval strategies such as hybrid search, reranking, and agentic retrieval
- Optimize reasoning workflows including Chain-of-Thought and ReAct approaches
- Lead supervised fine-tuning and parameter-efficient fine-tuning workflows using LoRA
- Optimize model quality, token usage, inference latency, and cost
- Move proof-of-concept AI capabilities into reliable, validated, production-ready products
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in ML or software engineering roles
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building and scaling GenAI or LLM-powered features
- Proven experience shipping machine learning functionality in product-focused environments
- Deep hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, vector databases, and evaluation frameworks
- Expert-level Python skills and experience writing production-grade code
- Experience designing controlled experiments, benchmarks, and gold datasets
- Familiarity with frontier AI models and their trade-offs
- Strong product mindset focused on user value, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills at minimum C1 proficiency
- Startup experience is preferred
- Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI is preferred
- A portfolio or GitHub showcasing AI experimentation projects is preferred
