Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, service, field application, and development teams to gather, analyze, and define software requirements.
- Prototype, design, develop, build, document, and package software solutions throughout the software lifecycle.
- Develop maintainable, high-quality software with attention to performance and memory efficiency.
- Conduct unit testing and implement automated unit and nightly regression testing.
- Support software and hardware system integration through validation.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to technical support and development teams.
- Contribute to software reengineering, migration, updates, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or equivalent, combined with substantial professional experience.
- At least 7 years of project experience using Siemens TIA Portal and STEP 7 for programming.
- Proficiency in Structured Control Language (SCL).
- In-depth understanding of Siemens S7-1500 PLC models and simulation software.
- Proven experience interfacing PLC systems with SCADA systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Polarion lifecycle management experience is preferred.
- SVN versioning-tool knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience with Java, C++, C#, or .NET is beneficial.
- Knowledge of interfacing TIA Portal with .NET tools through TIA Openness is advantageous.
