Base Salary
$85k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and support Windows-based medical device software.
- Document software development activities and maintain software development records using approved procedures and tools.
- Analyze, evaluate, and verify software and system requirements using software engineering best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes, workflows, and methodologies with cross-functional teams.
- Support project activities and mentor junior engineers in hardware and software engineering practices and domain knowledge.
- Participate in software design and development reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field plus at least 6 years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree plus 4 years; or a doctoral degree plus 2 years.
- Experience developing software in the medical device industry or another heavily regulated industry.
- Proficiency developing Windows-based software with Microsoft development tools.
- Expert-level programming skills in C# and C++.
- Ability to collaborate on projects involving cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include Atlassian toolchain familiarity, Windows debugging and memory management knowledge, code optimization experience, Windows security development, Python or MATLAB programming, image processing using classical or machine learning techniques, custom hardware interfaces, and software automation frameworks.
