Base Salary
$141k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure platform infrastructure.
- Develop best practices for software development, deployment, monitoring, and automation.
- Automate repetitive engineering-team tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Help define and implement SLOs and report on customer SLAs.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the platform’s long-term strategy.
- Mentor junior engineers and help shape engineering culture.
- Travel occasionally to support customer deployments and onsite implementations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering industry experience.
- Experience in platform engineering or a similar role.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, Drone CI, or GitLab CI.
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn Ruby on Rails and Go.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, and the LGTM stack for monitoring and logging.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to producing and consuming documentation.
- Interest in AI-augmented or agentic software development workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include early-stage startup experience, security and compliance knowledge, and expertise in Ruby on Rails, Go, or infrastructure-as-code tools.
