Responsibilities
- Analyze client business requirements and translate them into technical features, tasks, data structures, APIs, and persisted entities.
- Build and maintain front-end and back-end functionality for web and cross-platform mobile applications.
- Design APIs and GraphQL schemas that securely expose appropriate information to users.
- Apply software design patterns, refactoring techniques, accessibility practices, performance optimization, internationalization, and unit and integration testing.
- Make architecture and technology decisions across the application stack and document implementations for future maintenance.
- Collaborate with designers, software developers, quality assurance engineers, and project managers in a highly collaborative team setting.
- Break down large areas of functionality into suitable features and tasks.
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute hands-on deliverables.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and bring new skills and capabilities to existing teams.
Requirements
- Experience developing across both front-end and back-end application layers.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot, React and/or React Native, and modern web application technologies.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and design data structures, APIs, entity relationships, and application architecture.
- Knowledge of GraphQL, JavaScript patterns, UI libraries or kits, accessibility, performance, testing, internationalization, and refactoring.
- Ability to create maintainable, reusable, testable, and high-quality software.
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative teams and coordinate work across disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and openness to new technologies and techniques.
- Background working with Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
- Experience with emerging headless CMS technologies or A/B testing is a plus.
