Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Review RFCs and collaborate with engineering teams on security-related architectural decisions.
- Design and build internal security systems, including web application firewalls and vulnerability management tools.
- Harden and improve security-related production software components.
- Translate compliance requirements into practical technical controls.
- Enhance monitoring, prioritization, patching, and response to vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to authentication and identity systems, including SSO and SCIM.
- Participate in the security team’s on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security or a related security-focused engineering role.
- Strong experience in AWS, particularly in multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Proficient in coding and maintaining tooling in languages like Python or Go.
- Experience reviewing system designs and providing actionable security guidance.
- Working knowledge of SIEM, vulnerability management, and related security tools.
- Comfortable operating across both technical design and hands-on implementation.
