Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, development, and production operation of scalable, secure, fault-tolerant cloud services.
- Drive distributed-systems design, architectural decisions, engineering standards, and long-term platform evolution.
- Lead complex initiatives from design through deployment and ongoing optimization.
- Build and scale cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Advance cloud security, IAM controls, encryption, compliance, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Improve DevOps maturity, CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, system resilience, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to solve complex system-level challenges.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical direction and code reviews, and raise engineering quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6–8+ years of software engineering experience focused significantly on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Ability to independently design, build, and operate production-grade systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or similar programming languages and experience building distributed services.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
- Strong production experience designing and operating systems with AWS services including EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, and IAM.
- Experience with on-call responsibilities, incident response, reliability improvements, high-availability systems, automated failover, and self-healing capabilities.
- Knowledge of cloud security, identity, encryption, compliance frameworks, observability tooling, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Familiarity with Vault, Consul, and Packer, and experience defining engineering standards, patterns, or platform strategy.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
