Base Salary
$220k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-team engineering initiatives from concept through production and own the technical approach and outcomes.
- Shape platform architecture, system design, technical direction, and engineering best practices.
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar AI-assisted development tools and lead their adoption across the engineering organization.
- Define and uphold standards for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability in hand-written and AI-generated code.
- Partner with product, design, and quality teams to define technical requirements and shape product development.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and team efficiency.
- Mentor senior and early-career engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing.
- Influence architectural decisions and communicate technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack development.
- Proven expertise building scalable web application back ends with Ruby on Rails, Flask, Node, or similar technologies.
- Advanced front-end experience with React, Angular, Vue, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on production experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code, including driving team adoption and productivity gains.
- Experience leading complex initiatives across teams from concept through production.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions.
- Strong systems thinking, including system design, scaling, performance, reliability, and data integrity tradeoffs.
- Preferred experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI workflows in production.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Background in high-growth SaaS and interest in commercial real estate or fintech are preferred.
