Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce reference security architectures, patterns, and blueprints for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Assess new cloud services and define security guardrails, preventative controls, and detective controls.
- Partner with engineering teams to embed security guardrails during design and evaluate architecture proposals.
- Document and uphold secure-by-design principles and architecture governance using policy-as-code frameworks aligned with NIST, CIS, and PCI DSS.
- Set CNAPP/CSPM monitoring priorities and hold engineering teams accountable for remediating important misconfigurations and vulnerabilities.
- Work with Security Operations to define cloud logging and detection requirements for SIEM visibility.
- Communicate security risks and mitigations to senior stakeholders and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with subject-matter expertise in at least one platform.
- Knowledge of risk-based decision-making and security standards including PCI DSS, NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and CIS.
- Experience with Kubernetes, including EKS, AKS, or GKE; API security; and infrastructure-as-code security using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Experience securing user and non-user access at scale, including Azure Policy and cloud-native IAM controls.
- Strong security-focused communication, senior-stakeholder engagement, and mentoring experience.
- CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500, AWS Certified Security, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
- Experience integrating ATT&CK Navigator into SOC workflows is advantageous.
