Base Salary
$110k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for custom automation systems.
- Integrate robots, motion systems, vision systems, sensors, and safety devices.
- Troubleshoot and support machine startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
- Develop control specifications, software documentation, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
- Lead controls engineering efforts on complex projects and mentor engineers.
- Provide technical direction and support proposal development, project planning, and customer technical discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional hands-on experience in Software Controls Engineering.
- Experience programming industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software platforms.
- Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Ignition, FANUC, ABB, Epson, Denso, motion control, vision systems, and industrial networking technologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with Python, C, C++, C#, or similar programming languages is preferred.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtual machine environments including VMware, Hyper-V, and VirtualBox is preferred.
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment is preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed, access to reliable transportation, legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and successful completion of background checks are required.
- A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
