Base Salary
$164k - $282k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and manage analytics and production ETL/ELT systems for high-volume ingestion from diverse sources.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams on reliable search-data logging, implementation, and usage.
- Ensure data quality, observability, reliability, security, and compliance across the data lifecycle.
- Optimize data systems for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Define and manage SLAs for data systems.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant industry experience as a data engineer in a technology company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL, Python, and SQL.
- Preferred: 8 or more years of overall data or engineering experience.
- Preferred: experience with distributed processing technologies, distributed storage systems such as HDFS and S3, and ETL schedulers such as Airflow, Dagster, or DBT.
- Preferred: experience with massive datasets and optimizing data extraction.
- Preferred: expertise in experimentation and statistics, understanding of machine learning concepts and model configurations, and experience in e-commerce or search.

- Base pay varies by geographic market from $164,000/year to $282,000/year, with annual bonus eligibility of 0–20% of base salary.
