Responsibilities

  • Support a German Tier 1 customer before and after the purchase of ADTRAN hardware and software.
  • Plan and conduct customer tests, product demonstrations, and homologation tests at company, customer, or other ADTRAN locations.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and remote deployment of ADTRAN products.
  • Guide technical specialists and partner companies during on-site assignments and fault analysis.
  • Process and track customer inquiries through the ADTRAN ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot Linux, Docker, and application software environments using structured diagnostic methods.
  • Build and configure hardened Linux distributions for customer projects.
  • Develop and maintain automated installation and deployment processes.
  • Develop, operate, maintain, and debug Docker-based containerized applications.
  • Integrate application software into dedicated customer virtual machine environments.
  • Contribute to security concepts involving system hardening, access controls, and firewall configuration.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and workarounds and share information with the team.
  • Collaborate with development teams on technical questions.
  • Plan and deliver technical training for customers and internal teams.
  • Prepare and facilitate customer meetings, technical reviews, and incident discussions.
  • Support trainees and dual-study students and participate in the technical on-call service.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in technical support, IT, or a comparable technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, IP networks, and routing.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and customer-interaction skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Class B driver's license.
  • Very good analytical skills and a structured, proactive, independent working style.
  • Strong teamwork, solution-oriented thinking, and professional customer conduct.
  • Very good German and good English language skills.
