Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for embedded Linux-based platforms and VoIP telephone products.
- Work across bootloaders, the Linux kernel, device drivers, system software, and user-space applications.
- Configure, build, troubleshoot, and debug Linux kernels, bootloaders, and target-platform software using embedded toolchains and cross-compilation environments.
- Develop and maintain C and C++ software using IPC, multithreading, synchronization, static and dynamic libraries, and dependency management.
- Investigate VoIP signaling, media, networking, and system integration issues involving SIP and related telephony technologies.
- Analyze and optimize CPU usage, memory usage, startup time, and overall system performance.
- Participate in software design, architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing embedded software using C and C++.
- Hands-on experience developing in an embedded Linux environment.
- Working knowledge of Linux kernel architecture and kernel-level development.
- Experience working with and debugging Linux device drivers and bootloaders.
- Hands-on experience with cross-compilation, embedded toolchains, and target-platform builds.
- Good understanding of IPC, multithreading, synchronization, and process management.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across multiple layers of an embedded system.
- Understanding of embedded-system memory and performance constraints.
- Preferred experience includes telephony systems, VoIP protocols such as SIP, real-time Linux, performance-sensitive applications, networking protocols, and network programming.
- Experience with Eclipse, Visual Studio, GDB, and related embedded development and debugging tools is relevant to the role.
