Responsibilities
- Design and own the architecture roadmap for live sports and Discover APIs.
- Develop, support, and improve Coupang Play's core backend systems with high availability and scalability.
- Design scalable and low-latency technical solutions that meet Product Owner requirements.
- Establish best practices for code quality, system performance, and operational excellence while mentoring engineers.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Have over 7 years of experience in server application and system engineering.
- Possess deep expertise in low-latency, high-throughput systems, performance profiling, and cost/performance trade-offs.
- Proficient in one or more backend programming languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript, or Node.js.
- Experience with modern cloud computing platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Demonstrate leadership in project planning, execution, code/design reviews, and engineering mentoring.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
