Base Salary

$124k - $299k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and sustain high-performance, scalable backend services using Go microservices.
Lead architectural modernization, modularization, monolith decomposition, legacy migration, and adoption of shared frameworks and service components.
Own the full system lifecycle, including API design, data modeling, deployment, monitoring, integration and load testing, telemetry, experimentation, and iteration.
Apply AI-driven tools and automation to accelerate development, code analysis, testing, reliability, and developer productivity.
Define observability standards, telemetry pipelines, fault-tolerance strategies, and production diagnostics for distributed systems.
Partner with product, mobile, and data teams to deliver experiences across platforms.
Drive technical discussions, lead strategic initiatives, mentor developers, and influence backend and infrastructure direction.

Deep expertise in Go; PHP experience for legacy systems is a bonus.
Proven experience architecting modular, maintainable, high-performance microservices.
Strong background in system design, observability, and performance optimization.
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Protobuf, CI/CD pipelines, and auto-scaling architectures.
Experience using AI and automation to improve developer velocity, reliability, or system intelligence.
Understanding of instrumentation, SLOs, SLIs, fault tolerance, runbooks, incident triage, telemetry pipelines, and production diagnostics.
Demonstrated technical leadership through roadmap influence, multi-team initiatives, mentoring or leading developers, process improvements, and interaction with senior developer or product leadership.
