Responsibilities

Own and operate the fleet observability platform, including data pipelines, decoration and correlation, health checks, and telemetry from sites to devices and links.
Design and build stable, versioned APIs for production infrastructure and unified fleet management.
Build the Kubernetes-based production control plane for machine management, state inspection, and distributed command execution.
Maintain fleet state as a source of truth across provisioning, operations, infrastructure management, and customer-facing platforms.
Define SLOs and integrate site lifecycle state into internal and customer-facing systems.
Onboard new hardware generations and sites through ZTP, DHCP, DNS, and artifact management.
Respond to production incidents, lead postmortems, and remediate systemic causes.
Automate repetitive operational work and deliver production services used by other teams at scale.

Experience shipping and operating production services that other teams depend on at scale.
Strong API design and versioning experience, including understanding of abstractions that remain maintainable at scale.
Ability to work autonomously through ambiguous infrastructure problems and learn unfamiliar domains quickly.
Willingness to participate in on-call operations, lead incidents, write postmortems, and fix systemic issues.
Comfort working in any programming language with AI coding tools.
Fluency with AI tooling such as LLM APIs, MCP servers, agentic frameworks, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools.
Bonus experience with distributed systems and data pipeline engineering.
Bonus experience with Prometheus, Thanos, VictoriaMetrics, Temporal, Cadence, BMC/Redfish, or hardware telemetry.
Bonus proficiency with Go, Python, and Postgres.
