Base Salary
$108k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of complex software components for aerospace applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot advanced software issues.
- Write and maintain detailed code documentation.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Integrate software with hardware systems and support protocol development.
- Define software requirements and specifications with stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives that improve software performance and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Higher-level relevant education may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency with C# or Java.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferred experience with Linux, RHEL, and Windows services.
- Preferred knowledge of tactical or moving-map software integration and hardware integration.
- Preferred background in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Preferred knowledge of C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash.
- Preferred experience with requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, library and artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
- Preferred knowledge of data structures and software development methodologies.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and perform coding and testing activities requiring hand and finger dexterity.
