Responsibilities

  • Define, design, develop, and verify security and platform features for RISC-V and other in-house GPU controllers.
  • Perform security analysis and hardening of firmware and middleware using threat modeling, code reviews, static and dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and negative testing.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system software teams through device inception, silicon bring-up, production, and product deployment.
  • Use pre-silicon modeling, simulation, and emulation to validate system and security properties and identify defects early.
  • Debug complex cross-component issues involving firmware, drivers, and hardware.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve development, code review, and testing efficiency while following NVIDIA security and coding practices.

Requirements

  • B.Tech./B.E. in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant software development experience, particularly with embedded systems and/or kernel/driver stacks.
  • Strong background in software and hardware security, including hands-on experience building or maintaining security-relevant features.
  • Excellent C programming skills and experience with low-level, resource-constrained, or real-time environments, including bare-metal or RTOS systems.
  • Experience with device driver or BSP development.
  • Understanding of computer architecture and SoC fundamentals, including caches, buses, MMUs, memory controllers, DMA, interrupt controllers, security islands, and fuses.
  • Experience debugging complex system-level issues across firmware, drivers, and hardware.
  • Experience or comfort using AI tools for development, code reviews, and testing in a secure and responsible manner.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to drive designs and reviews across teams.
  • Preferred experience with RISC-V architecture, low-level BSP or firmware bring-up, toolchains, on-chip security controllers, applied cryptography, secure coding, secure boot, code integrity and confidentiality, TEEs, key provisioning and rotation, simulation and emulation, silicon bring-up, FPGA prototyping, virtual platforms, QEMU/PQEMU, fuzzing, fault injection, coverage-driven security testing, negative testing, or formal methods.
